It has been a long time since the last update and a series
of problems has been keeping things halted. New member problems, equipment
problems and now a lack of funds to do what needs to be done to get the
cd done. It will get finished somehow :)
Ok. Snowboarding has way gotten in the way of recording. It can't be helped. Do you ride? Have you ridden Cypress Mountain after fresh snow has fallen? Then you all understand. But no real worries because stuff is still being recorded and some crazy stuff at that. It is just going a little slow. Still toying with whether to put up one of the new tunes or wait til the cd is closer to finished. Keep checking back or better yet, join the tripfuse mailing list below to stay in the loop :)

Three years ago today the tripfuse domain name was paid for and the search for the right Cleveland musicians began. Now the search for the right west coast musicians is on and the 2nd cd is in the works.
Thanks to everyone who has supported tripfuse so far!! The comments at shows and the emails and myspace messages. It means everything. Thanks so much!

The move to Vancouver has happened. tripfuse is
now Canadian :)
Some serious recording has started. Shooting for early 2007 for the release.
The band should be active on the Vancouver scene by the end of the year and is planning to be back for a handful of shows in Ohio in late Jan. or Feb.

First live tracks available online. The very first full
cover was Cream's White Room and performed at the Newport in March. That
was the show that had the complications (read Tuesday March 7th news)
and no rehearsals. But it turned out half decent and is available to hear

tripfuse will not play with a band called the n word.
A band called the n word ended up getting added to a Katrina benefit bill at the HiFi club in Lakewood OH that was supposed to happen Oct. 16th .
tripfuse will not and did not play with a band with that name. We were appalled that any band would play with them or any club would book them or any marketing company would add them to a bill. It is messed up bad. We decided we couldn't let a band with that name play a Katrina benefit. We emailed the marketing company putting on the show and emailed the other bands to suggest they say something. If each band simply said they would not play with a band with that name, the n word band would have to be removed from the bill and the show would go on as planned. But Hardcore Marketing canned the show. People got upset.

Great weekend. Started Thursday with a last minute tripfuse
acoustic session at Arabica. Myself (Teague) and Mike played versions
of These Voices of Mine, In This Mess Again and Mr. Nothin. The turnout
was fantastic and we very much thank all of you who were there to experience
the 1st live acoustic show with us. Means everything!! I believe some
people got pics so we may post some here soon.
Then Friday night the show with APG. Had a great time playing and hanging out with everyone. Met some great guys in the other bands and heard some very cool tunes.
Saturday night was Moonlight Drive at The Cove in Geneva. The band was on, the crowd was big and loud, and I felt I personally had a great night as a guitar player. With MD I don't worry about any singing so I just focus on guitar and we never play less than 2 hours (seldom anyway). And with all the improvising and jammin out parts I feel I really get to push myself as a player. Not sure why I am typing this here. It really is newsletter type crap. Not to mention it is the wrong band. But if you like this kinda crap you should join the mailing list below. NOW. DO IT!! I can write lots o crap. Not to be confused with bag o crap. Quite different really! Well at least the color is. Or should I say colour? Back to the News : Old news below. New news above. Great last 4 days. The Spot in Elyria on Thursday night
was a lot of fun. Very cool all ages club and we played with some great

Friday the 17th went to House of Blues to see Eric Johnson. With Kaki King opening. Both were amazing.
Saturday the 18th we played Mike's (Zero) graduation party. A lot of fun. Granted made its live debut. Thanks to everyone who came out and rocked with us. Special thanks to Ryan and acoustic emo for opening the show.
Sunday the 19th we went to the grog shop to see Lovedrug. That band is sweet for those who have not yet heard of them or checked them out. You might want to.

Happy Halloween!!! Happy news! Looks like Bob from Too Late for Lenny and Eric from Bolhed may share drumming duties along with Ryan. At this time it looks as though Ryan will play the Newport on the 12th as it is his hometown. Then Bob will play the Odeon the following week. The Pit on the 27th is still in question.
